Join us for a yoga and kayaking adventure!

In this small group (max of 12) we'll gather in the morning for an Akhanda Yoga Class, a hatha-based yoga class led by Sarah, to prepare our mind and body for an afternoon of kayaking, around Jericho Beach, Vancouver.  All levels of yoga practitioners are welcome and no previous kayaking experience is required.

Schedule:
  • 8:45 am - Arrive at Alive & Well Personal Training
  • 9-10 am - Akhanda Yoga 
  • 10-10:30 am - Walk, bike or drive to Jericho Beach (30 min walk)
  • 11 am-1 pm - Kayaking
FAQs:

1. What's included in the price? 

Yoga and kayak rental is included. There are two options to choose from for a single or double kayak. 

2. What if I've never done yoga or gone kayaking? 

That's ok, we welcome and will accommodate all levels. If you're new to kayaking, you may want to partner up and choose a double kayak.

3. What should I wear? 

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can stretch in. We recommend you bring layers for variable weather conditions. We'll go rain or shine.

4. What else should I bring?

Please bring your own water and snacks, sunscreen, sunhat. If you are bringing your phone, please enclose it in a ziplock bag! Please bring one piece of photo ID and a credit card - this is required for each kayak rental for damage deposit purposes. Your kayak rental is already included in the price of the event.

5. Who provides the kayaks?

We have made a reservation with Ecomarine Paddlesport Centres. We will confirm the combination of single and double kayaks on June 9th. 

6. What if I'm traveling alone and prefer a double kayak? 

That's ok, please check the Event on Facebook where you can find a kayak buddy or even ride-share. 

7. Can I learn more about the style of yoga before I come? 

Yes, glad you asked! Please check out Sarah participating in an Akhanda class in India, led by her teacher, Yogi Vishvketu.
